Chris Houston (born 15 February 1985 in Narooma, New South Wales) is an Australian professional rugby league footballer for the Newcastle Knights of the NRL. His usual positions are at lock and in both the second-row and front-row. He previously played for the St. George Illawarra Dragons. Houston was named as Newcastle Knights captain in two games of 2008 and 2009 due to Kurt Gidley and Steve Simpson being unavailable. He was 18th man for the third game of the 2009 State of Origin series for NSW.

In March 2010, Houston was served with notice to attend court on charges of supplying ecstasy and cocaine.[1] He was stood down indefinitely.

On 17 December 2010, Houston was cleared of all charges.[2] He then signed back with the Newcastle Knights officially on 23 December 2010.[3]
